Questionnaire Templates

Questionnaire templates allow you to standardize how you collect information from clients. You can create different templates for general trip discovery, traveler profile collection, or specific niche travel types.

Creating Templates

  1. Navigate to the Questionnaires section in the portal.
  2. Click New Questionnaire.
  3. Provide a Name (internal) and optionally an Introduction (visible to clients).
  4. Choose a Source Type:
    • Client-Trip: General discovery for new trip leads.
    • Traveler Info: Specialized forms for collecting passport and personal details.
  5. Configure advanced settings:
    • Email on Submission: Receive an alert when a client completes the form.
    • Can Generate Brief: Enable the AI engine to process these submissions.
    • Link to Client: Automatically attempt to match submissions to existing clients by email.
    • Enable AI Chat Mode: Allow clients to complete the questionnaire through a conversational AI interface instead of a traditional form (Client-Trip questionnaires only).

AI Chat Mode ⭐ Premium

Plan Availability: Professional and Agency plans only. Beginner plan users have access during their 7-day trial.

When enabled on a Client-Trip questionnaire, clients have the option to complete the form by chatting with an AI assistant. The AI:

  • Guides the client through all required questions conversationally
  • Extracts answers naturally from the conversation
  • Shows a progress indicator as questions are answered
  • Displays a Submit button once all required fields are collected

Note: AI Chat Mode is only available for Client-Trip questionnaires, not Traveler questionnaires.

Customizing Questions

Wanderbolt provides a flexible question builder. Each template comes with standard mandatory fields (Name, Email, etc.) to ensure data integrity, but you can add custom fields for:

  • Text inputs
  • Date pickers
  • Email addresses
  • Numeric budgets

Knowledge Injection

You can use the [[knowledge:article_title]] syntax in your Introduction or Email Verbiage. The system will automatically replace these placeholders with the latest content from your Knowledge Base before the client sees it.

Sharing with Clients

Every questionnaire has a unique Public Token.

  • Copy Link: Send the direct URL to your client via email or chat.
  • Preview: View the form exactly as your client will see it.

Managing Templates

  • Edit: Update the introduction, settings, or questions at any time.
  • Clone: Quickly create a new template based on an existing one. This is useful for creating regional variations or specific niche forms (e.g., "Italy Honeymoon" vs "General Europe").
  • Delete: Warning: Deleting a template also deletes all historical submissions associated with it.
