The Travel Brief is Wanderbolt.AI's signature feature, automating the creation of comprehensive travel briefings by synthesizing client data, knowledge base insights, and corporate policies.

The Briefing Lifecycle

A brief moves through several key stages from initial client input to final delivery:

  1. Questionnaire Submission: Your client completes a configured discovery form.
  2. Review Submission: You review the raw data in the Discovery section, adding any private "Agent Notes" to guide the AI.
  3. Generate Brief: Clicking Generate Brief triggers the processing engine.
  4. Processing: The AI analyzes the submission against your agency's broader context.
  5. Review & Refine: The generated brief is presented as an editable draft. You can fine-tune the recommendations, update the itinerary, or adjust the tone.
  6. Delivered: Mark the brief as "Delivered" to finalize the record and track it as completed work.

AI Executive Summary ⭐ Premium

Plan Availability: Professional and Agency plans only. Beginner plan users have access during their 7-day trial.

Before generating a full brief, you can generate a quick AI Executive Summary directly from the submission:

  • Location: Available on both the Edit Submission page and the Travel Brief view page
  • Format: Collapsible card with rendered markdown content
  • Regeneration: Click "Regenerate" to create a fresh summary if the submission data changes
  • Trip Pre-population: When you click "Start Trip" from a brief, the AI summary automatically pre-fills the trip's Overview/Booking Summary field (converted to HTML for the Quill editor)

AI Context & Processing Logic

The Wanderbolt engine doesn't just "chat" with AI; it uses a sophisticated context-injection layer to ensure accuracy:

Knowledge Base Integration

The engine scans your active Knowledge Base for articles related to the destination, cruise line, or travel type mentioned in the submission. If a match is found, that content is provided to the AI as a factual reference.

Corporate Policy Compliance

For corporate clients, the engine automatically checks the submission against the associated Corporate Travel Policy (stored in the database). Any potential violations (e.g., class of service, budget caps) are flagged during generation.

Agent Branding

The final brief automatically incorporates your agency's branding, including logos and primary colors, ensuring a professional presentation every time.

Delivery and Export

Once you are satisfied with the brief, you can share it with your client:

  • Web View: Send a secure link for the client to view the interactive brief portal.
  • PDF Export: Generate a high-quality PDF for printing or emailing as an attachment.
  • Print: Optimized print view for physical documentation.
